The project “Dinocrocs Travel to the Balkans” aims at transfer and adaptation of the innovative teaching methodology already developed by University of Rome "La Sapienza" in "The Adventures of Hocus and Lotus" project. This methodology and the attractive teaching and learning materials have been created for the teaching of foreign languages to very small children aged between three and eight years old.

Learning a foreign language is easy and exciting with Hocus and Lotus, two fantastic animals, the dinocrocs, half dinosaur and half crocodile who live in a park. The stories, told in cheerlul songs, are the method through which children learn a foreign language. Theatrical mimic permits the comprehension of the meaning. Imitating the dinocrocs, singing and reciting with them allow children to live the same emotions as Hocus and Lotus and their animal friends thus being able to learn the basics of a foreign language.

The "Dinocrocs" model for training of pre-school teachers will be implemented in Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey in pre-school and primary school education as an alternative to the traditionally oriented foreign languages teaching approach.
