ELPBVI: European Language Portfolio for the Blind and Visually Impaired

The project is aiming at the creation of a multilingual European Language Portfolio for the Blind and Visually Impaired and with the view to expanding their prospects in language learning.
The ELPBVI project partnership is engaged with in:
- elaboration of specific descriptors related to the use of language skills by the blind
- development of an electronic model of ELP which will be easily accessible for the visually impaired users
- creation of additional materials that will help the language learners and their teachers to use this model of the European Language Portfolio
The ELPBVI project partners believe that this specific model of the European Language portfolio will help the blind and visually impaired learners to improve their language skills and to become more effective language learners because they will be able:
- to assess their language skills autonomously in an easy and reliable way
- to define their goals and plan their way to success in language learning
- to present their language competences in a transparent manner
- to collect in electronic form various documents and materials proving their achievements in learning languages
